Egret exhibition
This was the first time I have ever curated a show and it was in Japan. For many people this would be a nightmare. For me I think it was on some levels but it also was so exciting that I don’t think I noticed all the problems I had and instead just kept plugging away. The most difficult part

25 cups
I got the chance to make 25 cups as a small gift for the people who attended a performance that the owner of my studio, Miki-san, has every year. These were some of the first items that I have fired in Japan so this was quite exciting for me. I have started using a red clay kind of by accident

Bizen

Goodbye Blogspot
I had many difficult decisions when I was redesigning my web site and giving up blogspot was one of them. I have made many changes to my web site and I think that most of them make it look and work better. I loved blogspot but am really excited to have my blog integrated into my own web page.

The little wood studio
This place has the most amazing smell. I get a warm feeling every time I arrive. Its just a wonderful woody smell that fills my nose and gets me excited to work. There is an awesome cast iron wood stove that adds more great smells in the winter and a really fun group of eight other Japanese people
